KASSEY KULIKOWSKI: Hello everyone and Happy Halloween. We just got a awesome treat from Universal Orlando regarding the Halloween Horror Nights unleashed Las Vegas haunted houses. They got announced. And also we found out there’s going to be some themed balls, there’s going to be some themed entertainment, and there’s going to be some, like, awesome food. And so let’s jump into the houses. We have The Exorcist, Texas Chainsaw, Scarecrow: The Reaping and Universal Classic Monsters. I’m so excited for two out of the four of these. We’ll get into it. So, let’s start with the two classics. Well, they’re all classics, but the two classic classics, and that would be The Exorcist and Texas Chainsaw. So it’s very interesting, if they chose these houses. Yes, I know they have licensing like with the property. We saw The Exorcist: Believer last year, and then we had it in 2016 Orlando, and then in Hollywood, it actually, like came back, I think twice. I’m not 100% sure, but it was there in the 2016, the same time in Orlando. I’m not a fan of this house. It’s gonna be interesting because it takes place in one room, the smells are gonna be interesting, if you know what I mean, if you’ve gone through a Horror Nights’ house, they know how to do their smells. So this is gonna be interesting because, yes, it is a fan favorite with a lot of people. It’s still kind of regarded as, like the scariest movie. Um, there was an experience that, uh, Warner Brothers did, like, a few years ago when it was all in like, 4D. No, thank you. Yeah, this is gonna be really cool, really interesting. I will probably go for through this house, once, but yeah. So the other one is Texas Chainsaw. Now, we just had this for the 30th anniversary. I want to say I could be totally wrong. I know it came out in like ’73, ’74, I don’t remember, but Hollywood just did their house. We were also had it in Orlando in 2016, the same time that we had Exorcist and American Horror Story. It was really cool, because every single weekend leading up to the event, we got one house, so we got the Exorcist, we got Texas Chainsaw, and we had, like, The Walking Dead, like three weekends in a row. Texas Chainsaw, same thing gonna be really interesting with the smells and there’s gonna be some really, like creepy, you know, characters playing Leatherface, so it’s gonna be really interesting and really scary. Um, so yeah, and then we have Scarecrow: The Reaping. I love this house. I got the awesome opportunity to go for this house on opening night in 2017 on Twitter formerly known as X. It was really great. It was my second favorite, greatest house, next to American Horror Story two different years. But anyway, this house is amazing. I’m so excited to finally, finally, go through it in person. It’s gonna have that Halloween feeling. It hopefully does not have real corn, but we shall see, it’s gonna have the like windmill in the barn, because this does like take place during the Dust Bowl in like, I think 20, like 24 not the year of Halloween Horror Nights, but the year that the dust bowl happened anyway. There are some awesome YouTube videos of this house, and Hollywood actually did it in 2022 and it was okay. Just go and watch it, and you can compare the two and decide which one you like better. So I’m so excited. I love this house, and I’m so excited to finally go through it and get the crap scared out of me by a giant stilt walker scarecrow. And then, of course, we have Universal Classic Monsters, yay! I love these guys to come into Dark Universe and Epic Universe in 2025 so it’s gonna be cool to see which ones like they have, and I think all of them, hopefully. It would be cool if they did a mash up house like they did in 2019, that one is probably one of my favorites, next to the one they did last year Unmasked. We’re getting to the Universal Classic Monsters in speculation season. I, like I said on the last podcast, I have my thoughts, and this just kind of, like magnifies them of what I think Universal is gonna do. Yeah, it’s gonna be very interesting, because they’re going to be in, like, they’re going to be represented in both Orlando and in Las Vegas. So this is going to be freaking awesome. And it’s going to be cool because I heard a rumor, not official by Universal, that the houses are going to be rotated. So these are not going to be, like the four houses that stay year round, they’re going to be rotated. It’d be really cool to see if a house favorite from the event in Hollywood and in Orlando end up coming to Vegas, which would be really awesome, because please bring back The Wicked Growth. So yeah, I’m so excited. We’re also gonna have themed entertainment. Um, no Bill and Ted is not coming. I do think that maybe, since Nightmare Fuel is kind of coming to its end contract, maybe by next year at Orlando, they might come, this is speculation for me, to Las Vegas. It’d be really cool if we could have like, some Halloween Horror Nights Vegas shows. I know there are tons of shows in Vegas, but it’d be cool if we could have, like, nightmare fuel come because they kind of feel like a Vegas show, in my opinion, which is amazing. Um, we also are gonna have themed bars, yes, and then the food area, or the bar area, is gonna have scare actors walking around. That’s gonna be so cool. We could have like Frankenstein’s Monster, or we could have, like a scarecrow. I think we had, not a scarecrow, but I can’t remember. A scare actor dining? I’d have to go back and watch the video and see what characters from 2017 were there. I don’t think we saw any scarecrows. They’re very tall, like they’re stilt walkers, like these. These scarecrows are huge. It’s gonna be really, really cool to see them walking around. Maybe we’ll have Leatherface walking around with a chainsaw. And so it’d be really, really cool. Also, it’d be cool if the universal could bring back their icons. These are the characters that they have created, starting with Jack The Clown and going up all the way through Dr. Oddfellow. And last year, sorry, SINIST3R and SURR3AL, like you might be at Icons, you might not. But also we have the Pumpkin Lord, which is probably one of my favorite, and then along with Chance and Dr. Oddfellow, so it’d be really cool to see them. I’m excited for the food. I’m excited for the drinks. Please have some regular beer. They probably will. But yeah, this is going to be really cool because this is also going to be competing with, not competing, this is going to be along with, it’s going to be behind or next to Meow Wolf’s Area 15. And this is gonna be really cool, because you can go do that and then Horror Nights, along with everything else at Vegas. So this is gonna be really cool for people like me who have never been to Vegas, and people that love Horror Nights. So I have been, like, so excited for this event. We do not know tickets. We do not know prices of tickets. We do not know when is opening. We only know 2025. Universal just gave us a treat today with a trailer, which I loved it already because it had Universal Classic Monsters. Um, well, with that being said, they officially, officially announced the houses and everything. And hopefully we see some more construction, and hopefully we get more information, because 2025 is going to be a big year for Universal, like Epic Universe is opening in May, and then [Las Vegas] possibly might be opening, I’m gonna guess maybe August or September, to kind of correlate along with Halloween Horror Nights. That’s another thing we don’t know when Halloween Horror Nights next year is going to be opening, my guess is August again, which would be amazing. So yeah, this is just a quick episode talking about Las Vegas, Halloween Horror Nights Unleashed Houses, and so have a great and spooky and safe Halloween everyone.
