On February 1, 2012, 18-year-old Samantha Koenig was abducted from the Common Grounds coffee stand in Anchorage, Alaska. After the FBI tracked the use of her debit card in Texas, they identify Anchorage resident Israel Keys as her abductor and potential murderer. It was during the more than 40 hours of interrogation that followed that the FBI learned they were not dealing with a one-off murderer but one of the most deadly serial killers in recent American history.
