In campus news at Colorado State University, the Associated Students of CSU met to discuss reviewing new bills surrounding diverse student identities on campus. Also in ASCSU news was bill 5410, which looks to create a sustainable living council for sorties and fraternities at CSU. Finally in ASCSU news, the senate introduces a new resolution calling on CSU’s administration to ensure the safety of student immigrants at CSU. Also happening on campus are the protests surrounding the recent actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement with student-led petitions appearing on campus.
An unused shopping center on College Avenue could become the new site of a grocery store for the community. Also in local news, a barricade situation occurred on Friday in the city shutting down an entire block with shelter-in-place orders. Finally, a local teen has been arrested for the violent attack on a woman in her apartment that took place months prior. Events in the city include a new art exhibit as well as a flute recital by the School of Music Theater.
On the East Coast as well as southeastern United States heavy storms have killed at least 10 people with more storms expected to hit the area. In Wyoming, a deadly tunnel crash has investigators looking into the cause as well as determining a death toll. Lastly in Toronto, a plane crash resulting in an aircraft turning completely upside down on the runway saw all 80 passengers alive with 21 injuries.

Winter weather conditions impact Fort Collins with the area being in a winter weather advisory at 4 pm on Tuesday. Frigid temperatures in the night as well as snow are expected for the week with Tuesday night and Wednesday being the most severe winter weather.
