Last Thursday, Fort Collins locals celebrated the opening of The Neighbor, a beautiful new addition to the Northern Colorado Music scene. The soft opening celebrated the album release for Mofie, supported by Bitchflower, Mystee, and Miranda Fling. Formerly Everyday Joe’s, The Neighbor plans to be Fort Collins’ newest coffee shop, music venue, and wedding venue.
Indie Pop artist and songwriter Miranda Fling started the night, the incredible musician never failing to amaze a crowd. Mystee took the stage for a second impressive set of the night, the four piece fusing indie pop and American folk. Bitchflower proved to blow the minds of each and every audience member, thrilling the audience and filling their minds for a set to remember. Mofie ended the night, celebrating their new album, putting an end to the soft opening of The Neighbor.
The venue itself was impeccable. From the bar, to the furniture, to the bathroom, to everything in between was pristine, modern, and unique. The Neighbor takes a fresh approach to your traditional DIY local venue, choosing white walls over the usual dark colors, contemporary furniture & a high-end yet welcoming overall experience. This latest addition to Fort Collins shows that there is always space for a new take on an old concept. The Neighbor is undoubtedly likely to become the new spot for all things Fort Collins.
The Neighbor opened for its soft opening on Thursday, October 17th. The venue is currently hosting concerts, community events, and private happenings. The business plans to open their full cafe and happy hour experience soon. For more information, visit theneighborfc.com.
