On Thursday night, KCSU shut down our broadcast for a planned building power outage on Friday, August 25 after “Ramblers” ended at approximately 9 p.m. When staff and engineers returned to power on the station at approximately 7 a.m., not all equipment booted back correctly. Due to a few different equipment failures, KCSU temporarily went off air completely. Our staff & engineers worked tirelessly to get the broadcast back on-air in the early evening, at approximately 6 p.m.
Unfortunately, much of the KCSU equipment is still offline. This includes our App & Web stream; our ability to broadcast remote events, such as the CSU volleyball broadcast. However, we were able to restore live DJ shows as of 2:30 p.m. today.
We are diligently working on a solution to these issues. Please stay tuned for updates on this situation. You can still tune in to the live broadcast on the video stream of our website & catch our volleyball play-by-play coverage on our YouTube channel (@kcsufm).
Please consider donating to KCSU to help us upgrade our equipment to replace what is broken. Our current fundraising goal is $6,000.
