To Celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier in the MLB, this week’s episode of “Painting the Corners with Anton Schindler” is dedicated to the history of the Negro Leagues and the 3,400 athletes that played in the leagues during its long history. We’ll go over a brief history of the league and talk about some events that lead up to Jackie Robinson and Larry Doby breaking the color barrier once and for all, paving a path for athletes of color to compete in the sport they love in the Major League.
