National Coming Out Day is an important date that we here at KCSU wouldn’t miss celebrating. This year, we are teaming up with the local community to give our listeners everything from playlists, interviews, and a special event we are titling Call In To Come Out.
Call In To Come Out is a segment that will air from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Oct. 12. The event will celebrate National Coming Out day by allowing our listeners to call in at (970) 491-5278 and share their experiences with coming out.
A playlist of LGBTQ+ bangers has been released on KCSU’s very own Spotify account. The tracklist includes cuts from Girl In Red, UMI, The Intenet, and many more queer artists.
Interviews will be held on Oct. 12 as well, and will feature special guests from the Pride Resource center at CSU, students, and a member of Pride in Visible Voices.
KCSU’s Maddy Erskine will also be interviewing the LGBTQ+ band Plasma Canvas along with Kitty Crimes and Hotel Wifi for National Coming Out Day as well!
National Coming Out Day is an exciting time to celebrate our community and we are beyond elated to bring so much content for everyone to enjoy.
