Calling one and all, KCSU is currently looking for Summer DJs!
A summer DJ can be anyone local to the KCSU-FM listening area who’s available to train and broadcast a weekly 2-hour show. All Colorado State, Front Range, and other Alumni as well as high school graduates are eligible to become DJ’s for KCSU. Summer DJ training starts on April 17, and summer shows can begin on May 6 and you can sign up here.
Our trainings are currently being held on Tuesdays at 1:30 and Wednesdays at 2:30, they last no longer than an hour per session! The pre-summer DJ training course consists of a once-a-week session over 4 weeks. If you cannot attend the first one, we will offer a modified course over the summer and then you will be ready to start spinning our records (CD’s)! Hurry and get your applications in, as we can only have 20 spots available this summer and we run off of a first come, first serve basis.
You can start your own weekly radio show as early as May 6, but be proactive because we stop accepting applications as of June 17. You can sign up online or in the KCSU studios which can be found in the basement of the Lory Student Center. Swing by whenever to sign up. If neither of those times work with your schedule, we can always find a time to accommodate you, just email station@kcsufm.com.
Here at KCSU, we pride ourselves on the diversity of music shows and opportunities we have to offer. Join or come back to the KCSU family today!
