I was delightfully surprised when listening to this EP. Light Club, out of Bridge City, Oregon, blends synth, percussion, and light wispy vocals by the band’s singer, Gabe Mouer. This album is perfect ambient music to a sunny day in April. “Not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.” I enjoyed every song on this EP but the album particularly shines with the first few songs. I would describe “What We Found” as being falsetto Imagine Dragons with a hint of drums. The second and third songs, “Get You Out” and “Sound,” are very light and poppy with electronic vibes. I highly recommend Light Club to anyone looking for a fun new artist. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. There has not been a release date for their full album but keep an eye out for it because it is sure to be worth the wait.
