Angela Samota went bar-hopping in Dallas, Texas, with two friends on the night of the 1984 Red River Showdown. When she returned to her apartment that night, she called her boyfriend and informed him that there was a man in her apartment. Just as he started to inquire about the situation, the phone went dead. Her boyfriend rushed over to the apartment to find that the doors were locked, the lights were off, and no one was responding. He called the police. When the police arrive, they find Angela’s dead body lying in her bedroom. She was stabbed 18 times. The Dallas Police Department exhaust all leads, and the case goes cold. I remained cold until 20 years later when Angela’s college best friend gets involved in the investigation efforts.
