In the early 1990s, Selena Quintanilla-Perez was dubbed “The Queen of Tejano” for her influential Mexican-American music. She was beginning to crossover into the pop music industry and become the biggest household name in the country when the president of her fan club, Yolanda Saldivar, was caught embezzling. Yolanda’s entire world centered around Selena and some would describe her as a stalker. Fearful that someone would take her place as Selena’s right-hand woman, Yolanda takes drastic measures to end the Selena empire for good.
