Xcel Operations Team notified KCSU of a planned outage scheduled for Friday May 15th, impacting multiple Colorado State University’s properties including the 90.5 FM tower site.

Xcel’s Wildfire Mitigation team is replacing a pole in the Foothills Campus area with a helicopter.

Due to the coordination, logistics, and nature of this repair, 90.5 FM will be off air for the full day. An overnight outage is not anticipated and KCSU plans to be back on air after the replacement is completed. Updates to this story will be provided as needed.
