Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Landon Conrath held his first show at the Aggie Theater in Fort Collins on November 14th. A small crowd gathered on the cold Thursday night to see Conrath, as well as openers Miranda Fling and Andrew Garden play.
Miranda Fling got the show started with her emotional songs about past relationships and heartbreaks. She sang with heartfelt honesty complimented by her guitarist and fiance, Sawyer Davis.
Hailing from Fort Collins and a graduate of Colorado State University, Miranda Fling got her start in music in 2020. She focuses her self-produced music on storytelling, and refers to her style as “Sad Girl Indie”.
After a short break for the crowd to dwell on their past relationships, Andrew Garden took the stage. He began his performance with his own song, This is Goodbye. Despite the sad nature of the song he chose a more upbeat performing style than the previous opener.
With the crowd more energized from the second opener, Landon Conrath took the stage. Conrath began in the music world as a drummer, setting the beat and vibe for various bands across Minneapolis before realizing his potential as a singer and songwriter.
He first released a series of singles, in a similar style to Miranda Fling. His music focuses on honest storytelling but with an upbeat energy behind it that mirrors Andrew Garden’s performing style.
His success grew immensely when he released his first album, Nothing Matters Anymore, in September of 2022. Focusing on his story of coming up in the music industry, despite the pain behind some of the lyrics, he has a humorous and entertaining play on his own struggles. He played one of the most popular songs from this album, Casanova, on Thursday night much to the crowd’s excitement.
