Last Wednesday, Sarah & The Sundays took the stage at the Cervantes Ballroom in Denver, Colorado. The five-piece indie-rock band from Austin, Texas had a run of tour dates with Sun Room, playing shows in both Texas and Colorado. The five members, Miles McCarthy-Reynolds, Quinn Lane, Liam Yorgensen, Brendan Whyburn, and Declan Chill got the entire crowd dancing to their music, filling the venue with an amazing energy.
From the moment the band took the stage, the audience was captivated by the enthralling energy that Sarah & The Sundays brought to the stage. It was obvious that the band was very excited to be playing to the crowd, which gave the audience even more of a reason to have a good time. At a concert, nothing is better than when a fan can tell an artist is truly enjoying sharing their art – Sarah & the Sundays being a prime example. The band had a perfectly curated setlist, controlling the dynamic of the room and always knowing what song would fit best next.
When it comes to the quality of the music, not a person in the band missed a beat during their show. Overall, the concert was an extremely tight performance, with all band members providing a unique and excellent addition to the soundscape as a whole. With an acoustic guitar on some songs, and a keyboard on others, the music was cohesive while each song still encompassed its own individual personality.
