There have been a lot of bad teams in the history of professional baseball. Lots of teams since the mid 1800’s had some seasons that were more than forgettable, with all kinds of things to blame. Whether it be inconsistent pitching or every hitter being unable to pick up the ball, a lot can go wrong in this very complicated sport.

This week, we break down some of the worst teams to ever play professional baseball, and we try to explain why they were so bad. But with every team, Anton Schindler mentions some good that came out of it, whether it be an impressive first-round pick or a player who stood out above the rest.
