College Radio Day 

College Radio day is this FRIDAY, October 5!
The aim of the annual day is to promote college radio stations across the country as well as encouraging student participation in college radio. KCSU will feature it's commercial free and live DJ's focusing on college and alternative musical genres. This day serves as a reminder that college radio is still alive and kicking it across the country. Come join us on the plaza 10am to 2pm to celebrate or tune into 90.5 for live DJ sessions all day!
What's New in Sports 
Our lovely sports department writes one article a week, so if you ever want to know what's new in sports make sure you check out the articles here. The most recent feature is written by Ray McGowan and reports on the Colorado State football game against Illinois State, who won (35-19). The next game will be against San Jose State on October 6.

Bloodies Beats & Brunch 

Come out to watch our own Janet Earth at the Downtown Artery on Saturday October 13, while enjoying an over the top Bloody Mary Bar!

DJ-Athon 

The DJ-Athon, KCSU's semesterly fundraiser is coming up on November 5! But, you don't have to wait to pay for the programs you love. Donate now to support the commercial-free new music, and original sports and news coverage you hear on KCSU. All proceeds are tax-deductible and support the students of KCSU.

Mark your calendars! October is loaded with talented local artists coming for a Live In-Studio. Alone at the Gym is coming October 10 at 2pm, Clay Rose of Gasoline Lollipops will be here on October 24 at 2pm, Taro is joining us on October 26 at 2pm, Great Salmon Famine will perform October 31 at 2pm, and Taft Hill will be here November 7 at 2pm. 
National Coming Out Day 
The 30th annual National Coming Out Day is October 11! KCSU is partnering with the CSU Pride Center  for a full day of live coming out stories and a celebration of diversity from 7am to 11pm on 90.5 KCSU. Students are welcome to come down to KCSU and come out live on air, while community members are encouraged to call 970-491-5278 and share their own coming out stories. You can also share your stories with us on October 11th on our Facebook page.

Rock The Vote 

The Downtown Artery will be hosting Rock the Vote on November 6. This is an event with three concerts on November 6, election day, all for the low, low price of nothing. This event is for Coloradoan voters to celebrate their ballot choices with local musicians, beer, and a good time. Doors open at 6 and since the event is free, they are asking for donations. Rock the Vote is trying to reach a goal of $5,000 in donations and every cent matters.
